1. What was your line of thought before joining the course at FAD

I joined fashion marketing in FAD owing to my interest in the field.

2. Any fond memories at FAD?

It was like a second home to me. I had a time of my life at FAD.

3. How did your career develop?

The intensive training and learning that I underwent at FAD deepened my interest and strengthened my skills in fashion marketing. Thanks to all the knowledge I received there and I’m now executing the same by working in a lifestyle magazine in Singapore.

4. Who has inspired you?

I’d solely attribute that bit to my family.

5. Any alternative fields where students with similar qualifications can look into?

Students can pursue Design Management, join media houses or publications and even get into creative industry marketing.

6. Which path do you wish to tread 5 years down the line? (work with someone or start    your own enterprise?)

5 years down the line , I see myself having my own publishing house for a lifestyle magazine.

7. What has been your most interesting experience at work so far?

Styling for the photo shoots has by far been the most creative and interesting experience.

8. How was the transition from being a student to now, working in the professional field?

The transition was relatively easier as FAD prepared us to face the professional world challenges by not guiding our thoughts and filling us in with preconceived notions. It is quiet usual in the Indian educational system but instead FAD gave us the opportunity to explore, diversify and challenge our creative mindset. Especially the multi – disciplinary projects I did during my tenure at FAD, gave me a great deal of understanding not only into fashion but even in arts, interiors, graphics and photography which today proves so beneficial while working with the magazine.

9. Tell us a little bit about your work, your label and your forte.

I assist in getting clients and advertisers for the magazine, organizing events for the magazine and also give a hand in the marketing activities.

10. Advise to young design professionals.

Keep yourself focused and don’t be rigid in your mindset. Design is all about exploring new ideas and creativity the foundation.
