Prof Jamie Dobson is from University of the Creative Arts (UK). He is an academic and designer and Head of School of Communication Design at University for the Creative Arts (UCA). He studied Architecture at Kingston University graduating in 1997, he worked as an architectural assistant then as a lighting designer for Speirs and Major Associates on projects including Burj Al Arab, Gateshead Millennium Bridge, Royal Festival Hall refurbishment and Swiss Re. In 2003 he undertook MA Communication Design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, graduating with a distinction and has since worked for clients including Adobe, Apple, Bibliotheque, Birkhäuser, Fallon, Laurence King Publishers, MetaDesign, Nest Labs, Philips, Red Bull, Sony, UAL, Unknown Public and XL Recordings.
Prof Jamie Dobson will be giving a lecture on his experiences and his creative journey, while also giving portfolio advice to those interested in applying to Overseas universities.
