BIOMATERIALS & THE FUTURE OF MATERIALITY: Masterclass by Zuzana Gombosova - Director, Material Researcher & Designer at Malai Biomaterials.

Zuzana has a background in Fashion & Textile Design, which she studied in Czech Republic and Istanbul. She worked for several brands before enrolling at the MA Material Futures course at CSM London which brought her closer to the building block of all: Material. Her graduation project explored the potential of grown material Bacterial Cellulose. 

After her graduation, she took up a research project based in Mumbai and after a year, co-founded her current practice called Malai Biomaterials, based in Kerala. 

This masterclass will talk about her brand which works on coconut processing while also touching on the importance of curiosity, determination, hard work and how unexpected life events can give birth to innovations.
