Fibre to Fashion - Masterclass by Sonam Parvani

From Fibre to Fabric. The basic taxonomy of fibres, the characteristics of various fabrics and a fun FAD Fabric Manipulation Challenge! 

Sonam Parvani is a design consultant who has worked within the realm of customized couture, costume design for period dramas, and quality control measures and production processes for small and large scale units. She has designed for global brands like H&M, Zara, Only, Vero Moda, Calvin Klein Jeans and Hilfiger Denim to name a few and worked in Indian retail for Being Human Clothing. Sonam is currently working with rural artisans and weavers to kick- start a social initiative while working as a design consultant for adaptive clothing. 

At FAD International she is the HOD of the Fashion Design department, and teaches subjects like the History of Design, Textile Technology, Research and Development and mentors students in putting together their annual Fashion Collection.
