About the Event

JEWELLERY DESIGN

Masterclass by Pallavi Verma - Contemporary Jewellery Designer, about her journey from being an art graduate to making a living through art, jewellery design &  how to remain relevant to the present times. Pallavi will also be introducing two upcoming jewellery workshops:

  • Workshop explaining the jewellery industry
  • Workshop focusing on the jewellery designing and creating a jewellery portfolio

Coming from a background of traditional Indian goldsmiths, Pallavi moved to Europe at the age of 19 to study at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. She graduated with two degrees BA and MA in Jewellery Design, Gold and Silver Smithing 2016 with distinction. Pallavi’s work involves personal experiences from both eastern and western culture. Jewellery for her is about hidden revelations, the exploration of boundaries, emotions and identities. Her work aims to take jewellery beyond expectations by creating interactive pieces, through which she tries to involve or touch the wearer and the observer physically and psychologically.

In 2018 Pallavi started her own jewellery brand. Her 1st Jewellery Collection was inspired by nature “The Marks of Maturity” and shortlisted for the MASTERS IN CREATIVITY 2017 International Jewellery Design Contest. In 2019 she was awarded 2nd prize at the MIC International Jewelry Design Contest. Her work has been displayed at Galerie Marzee in the Netherlands and in Museums in Portugal and Japan.

Ideal for emerging designers, entreprenurs and retail aspirants.
