STARTING A FASHION LABEL - AN EMERGING DESIGNER'S PERSPECTIVE : In Conversation with Shloka Khialani - Designer & Founder of her namesake label.

Shloka Khialani is a 27 year old Mumbai-based Fashion Designer whose brand specialises in creating contemporary Indianwear. After acquiring her formal education in Fashion Design, Shloka worked alongside some incredible designers from the field to hone her skills.

 Her namesake label was then launched in September 2017, and in a reasonable span of time, the label can boast of a client base & presence that is growing extensively internationally, and not just in the local markets. With a brand presence in offline retail stores based in New York, Chicago, London, Surrey (Canada), Delhi, Hyderabad, and of course - the designer's home town Mumbai, the label's aim is to grow and expand its offering further & wider.

Shloka Khialani is a contemporary Indianwear label that entails a clean yet effective approach to design. Emphasising on modern cuts and unconventional embellishments, the label aims to bring it’s minimal yet modern design philosophy to the forefront. Flowy silhouettes, an array of solid hues, and interesting embellishments dominate the design series, thus giving Indianwear - a contemporary twist.
