An immersive visit to 47A Gallery where students experienced Cosmic Punk’s blend of mythology, futurism and graphic rebellion.
As part of FAD’s immersive industry visits, students explored Cosmic Punk at 47A Gallery, Mumbai. Conceptualised by creative duo Makarand Nakar and Sonal Vasave of Boomerang Studio, the exhibition fused cultural symbolism with futuristic imagination, bold narratives and graphic-driven visual rebellion.
The visit extended classroom learning from modules in Graphic Design, Fashion Content Creation and Aesthetics, giving students a firsthand look at how colour, texture, form and storytelling evolve into immersive visual experiences that shape contemporary luxury and communication design.
During the guided walkthrough, students encountered vivid illustrations of cosmic feminine energy, surreal sun motifs rooted in mythology, sculpted hand installations adorned with statement rings, and avant-garde ensembles layered with dramatic prints. Each piece invited them to rethink traditional narratives and imagine new directions for design.
