#ScoutingforIndia 2020
ScoutingforIndia, now in its third edition, is a global project that FAD has developed in collaboration with Vogue Talents, aimed at talented designers of Indian nationality, who reside in India or elsewhere in the world.
Investing into the future of Indian fashion, FAD has partnered with Vogue Italia to give Indian designers a global outreach through showcasing opportunities, media visibility and stocking opportunities.The first ever such platform for India, the initiative is conceived to propel the evolving Indian fashion industry and give Indian designers international visibility and business opportunities.
2020 FINALISTS
The finalists for #ScoutingforIndia 2019 had the opportunity to showcase their collections at an exclusive preview at Soho House Mumbai on 7th & 8th June with international industry insiders, media and key jury members. The winning designer, Anvita Sharma (Two Point Two) received the opportunity to showcase her collection at the iconic Vogue Talents exhibit at Palazzo Cuasani during Milan Fashion Week September 2019.
The jury for #ScoutingforIndia 2019 included Mickey Boardman (Editorial Director, Paper Magazine NY) , Sabyasachi Mukherjee (Designer) , Anaita Shroff Adajania (Fashion Director, Vogue India), Sara Sozzani Maino (Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Vogue Italia & Head of Vogue Talents), Shivang Dhruva (Founder, FAD International Academy) & Bandana Tewari (Contributor, Business of Fashion).

After receiving over 120 applications, Vogue Talents (Vogue Italia) & FAD unveiled the following Photographers, Designers & Stylists to have the opportunity to meet Sara Sozzani Maino - Deputy Editor in Chief Vogue Italia & Head of Vogue Talents and Francesca Marani - Photo Editor at Vogue Italia at Soho House Mumbai.

Sara Sozzani Maino selected the project’s finalists from the countless applications received, and some of them had the chance to meet the Head of Vogue Talents & Deputy Editor in Chief of Vogue Italia in Mumbai for a special portfolio review at the FAD Mumbai Campus earlier in December 2017. The following finalists unveiled their creations during a special FAD & Vogue Talents event in Mumbai in June 2018.

All shortlisted designers were also unveiled in the February 2018 Issue of Vogue Talents in Italy. Following the exclusive event in Mumbai, A jury comprising of Vogue Italia & global industry leaders chose one brand, Huemn by Shyma Shetty and Pranav Mishra, as the winners of 2018. They had the opportunity to showcase their Spring Summer 2019 collection at the Palazzo Cusani within “Vogue Talents & Who is On Next?", during Milan Fashion Week.
Frequented by global industry icons such as Anna Wintour, Donatella Versace, Anna Dello Russo & fashion houses such as LVMH, Kering & the likes, the Vogue Talents event gives Indian talents an opportunity to engage with global media, buyers & industry insiders.
