COURSE OVERVIEW

The course is designed for individuals wishing to work in the colossal non-design sectors within the fashion & luxury industries or those who desire to pursue entrepreneurial careers. Students can take a specialization at the end of the year and focus on one or two of the fields in the final term based on their future professional aims.

 

The objective of the course is to allow professionals from varying undergraduate backgrounds to pursue a successful career in the rising fashion, luxury & the retail sectors. This Post Graduate Programme has a higher emphasis on professional practice within a global context where individuals experience an industry-oriented curriculum with live projects with some the leading fashion & luxury brands in the country. Students are encouraged to work towards industry focused projects with a strong emphasis on research and interdisciplinary experimentation. At the end of the year students are given an internship to facilitate progression into professional careers in their area of interest.

Students also explore entrepreneurial opportunities at the end of the course with mentoring and support from academics at FAD International.

COURSE MODULES

During the first term, the course provides students with a comprehensive foundation across fashion, retail, marketing, communication, and luxury sectors - enabling those from varied academic and professional backgrounds to build a strong base before selecting a specialization in the second term.

Students engage in live projects integrated within the curriculum, mentored and taught by leading industry professionals.

Throughout the programme, students work independently and collaboratively with peers and professionals from related disciplines such as photography, media, art, styling, and fashion design. Combined with sessions led by guest faculty from global universities and industry, they gain diverse exposure to professional critique and perspectives across the fashion ecosystem.

 

The Europe Study Tour further enhances this experience by offering exclusive access to international brands, designers, academicians, and fashion weeks, preparing students for careers in the global fashion and luxury landscape.

In the second term, students choose to specialize in one of four core areas - Luxury Brand Management, Fashion Communication, Fashion Retail, or Fashion Marketing - applying their foundational learning to in-depth professional practice.
